Hello & Happy Monday!
Let’s talk about strength. Not just the heavy lifting kind because I think the first thing that has to happen in getting physically stronger, and a healthier being overall, is to take an honest look at our mental attitude. It’s starts in our head. Yes, we have to want to make a change. But we also have to recognize our barriers that keep us from a more holistically “well” mindset and break those down so we CAN change.
Before the body ever goes into motion and the mind says “Go”, we must overcome whatever mental barrier we have that says “I can’t”.
Whether it’s over eating, cutting junk-food, becoming more disciplined when the alarm clock goes off, staying in a routine of exercise, overcoming fear, shame, or self-doubt; Strength of body comes second to strength of mind.
I know you can do it – but do you?
This week I want you to focus on owning your strength first in your head. Recognize whatever mental attitude is keeping you from becoming physically and mentally “healthy” and strive to overcome it. It doesn’t mean we’ll be perfect all the time. We all have set-backs and that’s normal. But with the right ‘overcoming’ attitude, we can still steadily chip away at that rock for our wellness.
I’m starting this week and October on an ‘overcoming’ topic because it’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. We’re going to delve more into that next week!
