I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the Super Bowl game in our Monday motivation - It was an AMAZING game...I know you are all thinking of the time-worn cliche's about Not Giving Up, Staying in the Fight, etc. But none of these struck me as the main reason for the Patriots win last night.
What I saw were game-changing catalysts
It happened in the first half for the Falcons - It happened in the 4th quarter for the Patriots.
Game changers - In a split second, career altering plays that turned the tide of the event.
These were catalysts, big and small, that changed lives. You have them too. Game changing life events - An illness, an injury, a diagnosis for cancer, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure or Cholesterol. Or daily catalysts: meetings, kids illnesses, unscheduled events that alter your plan for exercise on a dime.
That action is either going to be positive or negative, it is NEVER stagnant.
So, we can take these sparks and turn the tide in our favor (like a Patriot win) or not (like ignoring your health, saying you're too busy, NOT eating well despite the knowledge you NEED to).
You can adapt to the situation you are given and do what you can, look for the opportunities to stay in the game for your health, or not. It's up to you how you change the game in the sport of living a healthy functional life.
